This page gives you the ideas behind the Anatomy of the Subconscious, the birth and the secrets of the stories you’ve learned to love… The stories never intended to happen in real life and only came from the imagination of the author.
GET TO KNOW THE Webmisstress …
The site started in October 2004 at the URL www.fanfiction-mania.tripod.com which also contains 2 Prince William fanfics. It has been its home for eight months before it was transferred to www.geocities.com/aosfiction. I dreamed of having my own domain someday and I’m trying to save money for that as well as starting to learn more about building a website. Luckily, I met some great friends who were very kind and generous to teach me how. It will take one step at a time before I finally make my dream come true.
Its new home, http://bsbfcphils.com/aosfiction has been awarded to me by the BSBFCP IT Specialist and a good friend of mine, Erika, and I promise to be responsible in writing my fanfics since I’ve got new readers who are critical and sensitive especially when it comes to the Backstreet Boys. My other friends, Mau and Lorry, on the other hand, were the people who guided me in developing the site’s layouts. However, I have to let go of that to give way to the rising number of visitors in the site that might probably be slowing down the loading once someone gets into the main site.
The title Anatomy of the Subconscious was derived at the time when I was writing fanfics since my high school years. My family never knew about this site, except for my youngest sister who oddly may be the first to see the draft of my layouts but still, never actually browsed on my site. My family knew that I loved reading, judging from the library that I had in my room. They never knew this side of me being a writer but SUBCONSCIOUSLY, they can tell that I got something going on every time they found me spending long hours in front of my PC. Most of my fanfics were inspired from the family that I had, especially in the Monarchy Series. So you see, you can know about my family if you will look closely on how the characters evolve in every story that I post here.
Monarchy Series was conceptualized due to my interest with the world history, European monarchies and Alternate Universe genre. I wanted something different and far from the cheesy plots I’ve read before. I want to go beyond the usual. I am fascinated with the princes and princesses, of kings and queens, that I even learned about how do they go about the royal hierarchy, some strict royal protocols, etc. The lessons may not be complete as I’ve researched but I’m willing to learn. Life is a learning process. And besides, I enjoyed imagining my favorite guys in the world living as one whole family in an old kingdom called Arkadia.
Arkadia was derived from the the name of a popular club in Malate, city of Manila, while I was out with my friends. I was still conceptualizing the Monarchy Series I and I need a name for the old kingdom. It is a fictional small country at the south of France and they have French influence on their culture. Kreizig, on the other hand, was the result of my twisted tongue when I tried to come up of a fictional small country with Germanic, French and ‘Arkadian’ roots in the fanfic Homecoming. It is located at the west of Arkadia, in the Bay of Biscay
I am fascinated with people who have twins since I got cousins who are identical twins, grandparents who are fraternal twins and an aunt and an uncle who are twins, too. It’s in our genes. That’s the reason why I incorporate this amazing genetical relationship in most of my fanfics. Oh, I forgot that Nick’s siblings are twins too…that adds another reason!
The character Brendon and his wife, Charlene, mentioned in THE CELTIC, Chapter 26 and appeared in HOMECOMING, Chapter 5 were real-life sweethearts in my own real world. Brendon is the guy I’ve been in love with for a very long time while Charlene is the woman of whom I’ve known since grade school. They looked together then but now they separated ways and Brendon has a new love and as always, it was never me.
Amor est vitae essentia means ‘Love is the essence of life’. I researched hard for the appropriate Latin quote that I will use for the fanfic The Celtic of the Monarchy Series I and found this on a website which provides Latin quotes. This is the most appropriate quote since the Bordeaux clan of Arkadia live their life full of love and compassion towards other people. A life without love is no life at all. (Leonardo Da Vinci, from the movie Ever After)
I posted my dilemma on coming up an appropriate title for the 3rd book of the Monarchy Series I featuring AJ. The plot is different that I wanted a unique title. At that time, Pamela Hollmon suggested the title DUTY but I found it to be more fit in Brian’s storyplot on the 4th installment of the series. I bumped into a website while researching for the 3rd book and decided that The Celtic was the right title to go with Alex’s story.
Fanfic BOUND has two versions of the ending when I wrote it. Click here to view the alternate version.
The bar, Mayric’s, where Nick and Luke worked for in the fanfic Bound, came from the same name of the bar located in front of the university where I graduated. I’ve never been there and the name came to my mind when I was thinking of a name for the bar. Yvonne mentioned it to Bam in Chapter 4 when she introduced her new friend to her uncle, who instantly recognized Nick as the infamous Nickolas of Bordeaux in Arkadia.
When I wrote Bound, I was currently attending a special class on bartending. That’s why I tried to incorporate my new interest in my fanfic as the work that the two runaway guys landed on when they went ‘invisible’ in the US
Fanfic Return To Monarchy was written first before Homecoming. It was conceptualized after Bound has been finished as I enjoyed writing this Series so much, aside from the fact that I received emails to do the sequel. One of them was from Angela, which suggested a plot for the Homecoming. The said fanfic was born and Monarchy Series II has been made.
Fanfic Listening Sky and most of the stories in the Montgomery Series were formerly posted in Absolute Chaos but I had to change it to fit into the new series I created. As I am a daughter of a navy officer, I was inspired to create a series in which the father of the heroes and heroines is a naval officer (or something akin to that). I revitalized the plot of the stories to match with the new storyline I created for the series. This time around, it will revolve on the life of four sisters and their youngest brother. I don’t want to think of any heroines so I chose the BSB’s wives: Kristin, Leighanne and Leigh as the sisters plus a new character and then Nick, as their brother. There will be a twist during the course of the storytelling so I hope you will read the entire series sequentially.

About the Author
Hi, I just thought of introducing myself for those who don’t know me and cannot see me. Obviously, we’re from different continents as I live in Asia… I thought it will be trivial (if you care) to know the person behind these stories.
My name is Crislyn. My birthday falls on June 21, 1982 – the same day that Prince William of UK was born but it’s just that we’re from different time zones so I’m older than him. I am a graduate of a Bachelor of Science in Tourism in one of the oldest universities in Asia, University of Santo Tomas. That’s in the Philippines so that makes me a pure Filipina though in my father’s side, they have a Chinese-Spanish lineage. Well, it doesn’t matter to me. Haha.
My interests include reading books as I have several of them in my room. You may want to have a library card when you see it, haha. I also collect magazines, usually Cosmopolitan. I love to cook and would mostly experiment on things especially on spices. I love to travel and I have been to different parts of the country for business and pleasure. I have been to other Asian neighboring countries, too. Another interest that will settle me at home is browsing the Internet or writing. I love writing especially fanfiction. It takes me to the different areas and subjects I like that’s why I go for Alternate Universe genre. I also love history and geography. Maybe that’s why I am comfortable with my course in college. Those things inspire me to write the Alternate Universe type of story. It gets boring for me if the story will settle down to just purely about themselves – as the Backstreet Boys. It’s not that I don’t find their lives interesting but I think that it’s not challenging to write a story of them, as them. Sometimes, I think it’s cheesy to play around a plot that goes around something like a girl meeting a Backstreet Boy, fell in love at first sight, etc. etc.
I don’t have a particular favorite Backstreet Boy as I love all of them, just on different level because they all have different personalities. They are all very talented, great singers and humble persons. Like for instance, I like Kevin and Howie because they are the elder ones and I can relate to them as I’m the eldest in my family. I see them as the responsible ones, the ones who take things seriously. And then there’s AJ and I like him because of the spontaniety of his life, the way he faced his struggles and revitalized himself. Brian is a man who inspired me to live a life dedicated to God, enjoy it and bring the most out of it. We all saw him as the family man that he is and I wish that I could find a husband like that someday, someone who will love me more than I do and will be the good father to our children. Lastly, Nick, the youngest among them is close to my age. He is the only person who experienced such hardships in life, mostly about his family, his career and his love life. And I admire him for the way he perceived each as learning experiences.
